Mathematics

At Cinnamon Brow, we believe that every child can achieve and succeed in mathematics. Through a carefully sequenced, mastery-based curriculum, children develop secure mathematical understanding, fluency, reasoning and problem-solving skills. We encourage children to think mathematically, explain their ideas, make connections and apply their learning in a range of meaningful contexts. By building confidence, resilience and a positive attitude towards mathematics, we aim to develop independent learners who recognise the importance of maths in everyday life and are well prepared for future learning. This reflects our curriculum drivers of Possibilities, Spirituality, Diversity and Communities, helping children to understand how mathematics shapes the world around them and supports their aspirations for the future.
