Design & Technology

At Cinnamon Brow C of E Primary School, we believe that Design and Technology inspires creativity, innovation and problem-solving by enabling children to explore and shape the designed world around them. Through an ambitious, hands-on curriculum, pupils develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to design and make purposeful products for real users and purposes. Children are encouraged to investigate, design, create, test and evaluate their ideas, applying technical knowledge and practical skills across a range of contexts including structures, mechanisms, textiles, electrical systems and food technology. Through discussion, collaboration and oracy, pupils develop resilience, independence and confidence as designers and makers, preparing them to become creative thinkers and future innovators.
