Computing

At Cinnamon Brow C of E Primary School, we believe that computing is an essential part of preparing children for life in an increasingly digital world. Through an ambitious and progressive curriculum, pupils develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to become confident, creative, responsible and independent users of technology. Children learn to think computationally, solve problems, create digital content, analyse information and understand how technology shapes the world around them. Online safety is woven throughout the curriculum, ensuring that pupils develop the knowledge and confidence to make informed and responsible choices when using technology. Through discussion, collaboration and oracy, children learn to explain their thinking, debug programs, evaluate solutions and communicate using subject-specific vocabulary, preparing them for future learning and opportunities in an ever-evolving digital world.
