At Cinnamon Brow C of E Primary School, we believe that Art and Design should inspire creativity, curiosity and self-expression whilst developing children as confident and reflective artists. Through an ambitious and carefully sequenced curriculum, pupils explore a wide range of artistic techniques, materials and processes, whilst studying the work of artists, craftspeople and designers from different cultures and periods of history. Children are encouraged to experiment, take creative risks, develop their own ideas and evaluate their work thoughtfully. Through discussion, oracy and artistic exploration, pupils learn to communicate their ideas visually, appreciate the diversity of artistic achievement and develop a lifelong appreciation of creativity and the world around them.
