Our Church Partnerships
Christ Church Padgate
Christ Church Padgate plays an important role in the life of our school. Through regular engagement with clergy and church members, pupils are able to deepen their understanding of Christian faith and worship. We enjoy a close relationship with Christ Church Padgate and work together throughout the year to support the spiritual development of our pupils.
Members of the church regularly contribute to school life through:
- Leading and supporting Collective Worship
- Sharing Bible stories and Christian teachings
- Supporting key Christian celebrations and festivals
- Helping children deepen their understanding of our Christian vision and values
- Strengthening links between school, church and families
These experiences help children understand the relevance of faith in everyday life and encourage them to reflect on how they can make a positive contribution to their community.
Throughout the year, the school community also gathers at Christ Church for significant Christian celebrations including:
- Harvest Festival
- Christmas Services
- Easter Services
- Other special services and occasions throughout the church year
These services provide valuable opportunities for pupils to reflect on the meaning of Christian festivals and experience worship within a church setting.
Pupil Leadership
A particular strength of these services is the involvement of our pupils. Children take an active role in planning and leading worship through:
- Reading prayers and Bible passages
- Leading parts of the service
- Singing and performing
- Supporting the development of service programmes
- Sharing reflections linked to our Christian vision and values
These leadership opportunities help children develop confidence, responsibility and a sense of ownership in the spiritual life of the school.
For pupils wishing to explore their faith further, opportunities are available to participate in Confirmation preparation classes through our church links. This enables children and families to deepen their understanding of Christian beliefs and consider making their own commitment to the Christian faith.
Cinnamon Brow Life Church
We are also proud to work in partnership with Cinnamon Brow Life Church, which meets in our school hall each Sunday. This partnership strengthens the connection between school, church and community and enables our school site to be a welcoming hub beyond the school day.
The church provides a range of opportunities for children, young people and families to come together, build relationships and experience a sense of belonging within the local community.
One of the most valued partnerships is through JUICE, the Friday evening children's club. JUICE offers a welcoming, fun and safe environment where children can:
- Build friendships
- Develop confidence and social skills
- Participate in games and activities
- Explore positive values and relationships
- Enjoy being part of the wider community
The club reflects our shared commitment to nurturing young people and supporting them to flourish socially, emotionally and spiritually.
